I design and build websites for small businesses, organisations and individuals who want something professional, straightforward and genuinely suited to what they do.

I’m based in York and work with clients both locally and across the UK.

A website that fits your business

No two businesses are quite the same, so I don’t work from a fixed set of website packages. Your site might be a straightforward four or five page business website, a portfolio or gallery, a blog or something with more specialised features.

I’ll help you work out what you actually need, then design the site around that — without adding features simply for the sake of it.

If you’d rather not deal with domains, hosting and the technical side of keeping a website online, I can take care of that too.

SEO foundations

Good SEO starts with a well-built website. I take care of the basics — including site structure, page titles, metadata, performance and search-friendly content structure — as part of the build. No dubious promises about getting you to number one on Google.

Social media

Your website can work alongside your existing social media presence, with links, feeds and sharing options where they’re useful. I’m also happy to offer practical advice on how your website and social channels can work together.

How I work

Building a new website doesn’t need to be complicated. I’ll work with you throughout the project, keeping things straightforward and making sure you know what’s happening along the way.

Every project starts with a conversation. I’ll find out about you, your business or organisation, what you want the website to achieve and any ideas you already have.

If you’re not quite sure what you need yet, that’s fine too — I can help you work that out.

Once we’ve agreed what the site needs to do, I’ll start putting it together. I’ll develop the design around your content, branding and audience, and build in the functionality we’ve agreed on.

You’ll be able to see the site taking shape and give me feedback as the project progresses.

We’ll go through the website together, making any changes and refinements needed before it goes live.

I’ll also check everything across different screen sizes and make sure the important technical details are in place.

Once you’re happy, I’ll take care of getting the website live and making sure everything is working as it should.

And I don’t disappear once the site is launched. If you’d like me to look after the technical side afterwards, my Website Care & Support service can take care of hosting, updates, backups and ongoing help.
