York based art photographer Claire Morris, takes her inspiration from vintage fiction books. Using paper cutting techniques to partially free the characters from the book, she dramatically lights and stages the shot so that the figures appear to come to life. The result is unbelievably three dimensional, not to mention retro cool…!
The brief was to design a simple site that put Claire’s quirky photography up front and personal, with the minimum of text and let it speak for itself. The Homepage features a full screen slideshow of some of Claire’s favourite most dramatic pieces, and a slide-in navigation system to take you to her yearly Collections. The site is of course mobile ready, looking and working great on the desktop and all sizes of touch devices.
